HME Business Webinar: The Impact of Anti-Fraud Measures on DME, Home Health, Hospice Providers
June 23 event will discuss how Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ actions are affecting businesses and patients.

June 16, 2026 by Laurie Watanabe

The next webinar from HME Business will bring together experts from durable medical equipment (DME), home health and hospice to discuss the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) recent anti-fraud measures — and how Medicare beneficiaries in all three segments are being impacted.

The June 23 webinar — Fraud in Focus: What CMS’s Moratoria and Crackdown Mean for Home Health, Hospice and DME Providers — starts at 12 noon Eastern time and is free to attend.

On the agenda: Identifying ways that new fraud-enforcement policies and processes affect DME, home health and hospice professionals; determining what operational, financial and compliance risks for providers can result; discussing how providers can start strengthening their compliance to reduce their risk; and exploring how enrollment moratoria could affect growth plans, including expansion, ownership changes, and merger/acquisition activities.

Webinar panelists are Dan Fedor, director of reimbursement and education/compliance director for VGM & Associates; Ken Albert, president/CEO of Andwell Health Partners, Maine’s largest independent, non-profit provider of home- and community-based healthcare and care management services; and Hillary Loeffler, vice president of policy and regulatory affairs for the National Alliance for Care at Home.

The hour-long webinar will include a live Q&A, and registration includes access to the live event on June 23, as well as to an archived version of the webinar.
