HMEB: Tell us about the Fits N20 CPAP Cushion, including its top features and benefits.
Meyer: The Fits F20 and Fits N20 replacement cushions are non-OEM replacement parts for the AirFit F20 and AirFit N20 Masks in small, medium and large. The Fits cushions provide substantial cost savings, and utilize a unique nose bridge stabilizing system for maximum mask seal and patient comfort. HMEB: In designing this product, what were the top goals of the design team/engineers? What did they most seek to achieve?
Meyer: Our goal was to make a replacement cushion that was not only comfortable for the patient, but easier to clean without tearing to help avoid infections. We also know that controlling costs are vitally important to durable medical equipment (DME) suppliers/providers, and we sought to keep costs down to pass along those savings to the DME.
HMEB: Who and/or what were the inspirations for your winning product’s functionality, features and design elements?
Meyer: Being a former DME owner, we saw firsthand the shortcomings of the original design, as well as the costs vs. reimbursement issues that DMEs face. These were our inspirations.
HMEB: Who benefits from your product? Can you offer a “typical” client profile?
Meyer: Both the patient and the DME benefit from our products. The DME from our cost savings, as well as our patient satisfaction guarantee, so that they have no risk in trying the cushions out. The patients benefit from having a comfortable cushion that is easier to clean.
