Have you ever petted a baby kangaroo? If you’re planning to attend this year’s edition of VGM’s Heartland Conference, you’ll get your chance.
The 2022 installment of the member group’s annual conference and expo is offering new features, including a trip to Hansen’s Dairy, a locally owned, farm-to-table dairy farm near VGM’s Waterloo, Iowa headquarters, where attendees can tour the facility, pet the farm’s marsupial mascots, and even milk a cow.
The 21st Heartland Conference will be held in person from June 13 to 15 at the Waterloo Convention Center at Sullivan Brothers Plaza in Waterloo. The event will also feature keynote speaker Devin Henderson, a diverse lineup of conference speakers, educational sessions, a vendor expo and a variety of trademark social gatherings, such as its riverside hog roast.
“We know many of our Heartland attendees come to Iowa from all over the country, so we love to showcase the best of our state,” said Jill Blaser, Heartland conference chair and design and development manager for VGM Education. “Beyond our jam-packed agenda, attendees are usually delighted by a few surprises as well.”
VGM also enhanced this year’s educational schedule with a series of three-hour, pre-conference educational workshops; expert-guided courses in data analysis to help businesses capture and harness the power of data; and Heartland’s new Morning Buzz, which gives attendees a chance to learn from experts in complex rehab technology.
Heartland will culminate with a baseball-themed Grand Slam party at the VGM farm.
