Gilgal Medical, an Orlando, Florida-based home medical equipment provider, has opened warehouses in Dallas and Los Angeles.
The warehouses are part of Gilgal Medical’s effort “to solve one of the health-care industry’s most persistent problems: delayed delivery of critical medical supplies,” the company said in a June 11 press release. The new facilities are expected to add 100 jobs total.
“There’s a growing demand for faster access to vital medical products — especially feeding supplies, incontinence products, ostomy care, and catheter supplies,” said Sainty Chacko, general manager of Gilgal Medical, in the announcement. “Too often, patients are left waiting for days or even weeks. We’re committed to changing that.”
In the announcement, Gilgal Medical said its goal is “same-day or next-day delivery of essential medical equipment and supplies directly to patients, hospitals and nursing homes.” The new distribution centers “will drastically reduce shipping times and improve fulfillment capabilities nationwide,” the company added.
In addition to its Orlando headquarters, Gilgal Medical has office locations in Fort Myers, St. Cloud, and The Villages, Florida. The company provides beds and support surfaces, compression supplies, incontinence supplies, mobility aids including wheelchairs, nutrition and feeding supplies, ostomy supplies, urological supplies, and wound care supplies.
“This expansion is more than logistical,” the announcement said. “It represents Gilgal Medical’s ambition to be the most reliable and responsive medical supply partner in the industry. Hospitals, care facilities, and patients alike can trust Gilgal Medical to deliver essential health products quickly, accurately, and with exceptional service.”
