Fisher & Paykel Launches Nova Micro Nasal Pillows Mask in New Zealand
New mask will be available in the United States and Canada later this year.

In an April 9 news announcement, the manufacturer introduced its F&P Nova Micro nasal pillows mask to its home country of New Zealand, while adding that the mask will be introduced in Canada, Australia, Europe and the United States later this year.

The F&P Nova Micro weighs less than 1.4 ounces (40 grams) and “features minimal, easy-adjusting headgear and a soft MicroPillows cushion that nestles gently within the nostrils and inflates to conform to the patient’s nose,” the announcement said. “The design provides stability and freedom of movement, allowing patients to sleep in their preferred position.”

Headgear for the mask is one size; the MicroPillows cushion is available in small, medium and large sizes.

“Nova Micro was created for patients wanting a mask that doesn’t compromise on comfort and performance,” said Andrew Somervell, Fisher & Paykel’s VP of products and technology. “‘Less is best’ was the mantra for our teams throughout the development process, and the result is our smallest and lightest mask yet.

“We see this as another strong addition to our mask portfolio. With this new nasal pillows option, along with our recently released F&P Solo AutoFit mask and the F&P Evora Full, we will be able to cater to a wide range of patient needs and preferences.”
