FAHCS: Providers Needed to Comment on Medicaid Managed Care Re-Procurement
The deadline to submit comments is Thurs., Nov. 9.

November 2, 2023 by Laurie Watanabe

The Florida Alliance of Home Care Services (FAHCS) is alerting providers to a call for comments from the Florida Agency (Agency) for Health Care Administration.

In an Oct. 31 bulletin to members, FAHCS said the Agency “is soliciting comments from providers which it will consider as part of the re-procurement of the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care (SMMC) program.

“The Agency will consider comments submitted in writing by any enrolled Medicaid provider relating to a specifically identified plan participating in the procurement in the same region as the provider.”

The announcement noted that providers can submit comments via an online survey tool on the Agency’s procurement Web site. To get to the online tool, click on the AHCA ITN 010-22/23 SMMC Provider Comment Survey link under the SMMC ITN section.

FAHCS added, “The Agency will consider each distinct comment only once. Additionally, the Agency will only consider comments submitted by enrolled Medicaid providers within the same region as the specifically identified plan participating in the procurement.”

The deadline to submit comments is Nov. 9, 2023, at 5 p.m. Eastern.
