Carrie Proffitt
Encore Healthcare has promoted one of its own — Carrie Proffitt, RRT — to Chief Development Officer.
“Proffitt’s promotion marks the latest step in a distinguished tenure at Encore, where she has consistently taken on greater responsibility and driven meaningful growth across the organization,” the health care software company, based in Livingston, Tenn., said in a Jan. 5 press release. “She first joined Encore as director of clinical operations, quickly establishing herself as a trusted leader known for her clinical excellence and relentless work ethic. She was later promoted to vice president of clinical operations, and then to senior vice president of operations, overseeing not only clinical operations, but also software development and IT.”
In her new role, Proffitt will be responsible for staff development and leadership growth; program development and clinical operations; Encore’s newest population health initiative; and information technology and software development.
“Carrie’s journey with Encore has been marked by steady growth, exceptional leadership, and an unwavering commitment to both our mission and our people,” said Zach Gantt , Encore Healthcare’s CEO. “When I first asked her how she would lead a software development team, she told me, ‘I may not know much about software development, but I know how to lead people.’ That comment was a true sign of a leader willing to do whatever it takes to drive our company forward. Today, she knows more about software development than anyone outside the dev team.
“Carrie’s heart for people, her personality — sometimes unfiltered — and her ability to develop leaders make her uniquely suited for this role,” Gantt added. “We are confident that she will rise to the occasion, strengthen Encore’s foundation, and fuel our future.”
