DME MACs Issue October HCPCS Code Changes
The new codes go into effect Oct. 1, 2025.

The DME MAC contractors have released the list of HCPCS code changes that goes into effect on Oct. 1.

In a Sept. 9 notice, CGS Administrators, the Jurisdictions B and C DME MAC, released the following code changes:

— A4288: Valve for breast pump, replacement (new code).
— E1005: Wheelchair accessory, power seating system, recline only, with power shear reduction (description/verbiage change).
— E0150: Combination wheeled walker with seat and transport chair, folding, adjustable or fixed height (new code).
— E0658: Segmental pneumatic appliance for use with pneumatic compressor, integrated, 2 full arms and chest (new code).
— E0659: Segmental pneumatic appliance for use with pneumatic compressor, integrated, head, neck and chest (new code).
— E0765: U.S. Food & Drug Administration-approved nerve stimulator, for treatment of nausea and vomiting (new code and description/verbiage change).
— E0986: Manual wheelchair accessory, power-assist system (description/verbiage change).

E0986 is currently defined as Manual wheelchair accessory, push-rim activated power-assist system.
