In tandem with the recently released timeline for the round one rebid of competitive bidding, CMS has launched a bidder education campaign designed to ensure that providers interested in bidding get the necessary information to submit a complete bid in a timely manner.
CMS will initially focus on preparing HME providers for the registration period. As suppliers register for the bidding process, CMS’s education efforts will focus on information specific to registered bidders and the bidding process.
CMS’s Competitive Bidding Implementation Contractor (CBIC) will be the focal point for bidder education. CBIC’s website, www.dmecompetitivebid.com, will include an array of information for providers, such as bidding rules, user guides, FAQs, policy fact sheets, checklists, and bidding information charts. Providers interested in bidding can sign up for email updates via a link on the upper-right-hand corner of the CBIC website.
Providers with questions or concerns can call CBIC’s toll-free help desk at 1‑877‑577‑5331.
