Invacare Corp. and Brightree LLC have entered a five-year alliance in which Brightree will become a central component of Invacare’s iPartner Solutions program and Invacare’s salesforce will market Brightree’s HME management software service to U.S. HME providers.
“The goal of Invacare iPartner Solutions is to help HME providers re-evaluate their business operations and find new opportunities to streamline business functions, reduce costs and focus on key, profitable activities,” said Carl Will, senior vice president of Invacare HomeCare North America. “Based on the input of a large number of our customers, we believe that Brightree’s business management software presents our customers with another valuable business solution,”
Brightree supports more than 20,000 users that annually file more than 20 million claims via iits Internet-hosted offering. The Invacare deal will help take the offering to its next step in enhancement HME management, said Brightree president and CEO Dave Cormack.
“Now we are setting our sights on creating the same efficiency for HME/DME supply chain management, and this agreement with Invacare is a huge first step,” he explained.
The two companies aim to create a set of Internet-centric services that will extend Brightree’s “ecosystem” for HME providers, which connects them with suppliers, manufacturers, Medicare, private payers, and outsourcing partners (such as Invacare’s HCS patient management solution).
Already the two companies have set out to integrate Brightree’s purchase order system with Invacare’s online ordering system and wheelchair configurator.
