NCPA Announces First-Quarter 2024 Events
The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) has announced first-quarter 2024 events for pharmacists and pharmacy team members.
In a Dec. 20 announcement, the NCPA described events on Jan. 11, Jan. 24, Jan. 29, and Feb. 16.
Jan. 11: Using Next-Generation Analytics to Inform Margin Opportunities for Dispensing and Health Care Services (online course).
Jan. 24: DSME: Getting Pharmacies Paid for CGM Interpretation Using Self-Care Behavior Counseling (part of NCPA’s Rapid Relief Revenue Learning Hour initiative).
Jan. 29: Registration deadline for the Diabetes Accreditation Boot Camp.
Feb. 16: Registration deadline for the NCPA Innovation Center/CPESN Community Pharmacy Fellowship, sponsored by Good Neighbor Pharmacy.
NHIA Congratulates 2024 Fellows
The National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) has announced its list of 2024 Fellows.
In a Dec. 20 news release, the NHIA honored Thomas Brown, PharmD, MBA; Maria Giannakos, PharmD, MBA, BCPS, BCSCP; Daniel Kyes, CPhT, BCSCPT; Katie Laskin, PharmD, BCSCP, CNSC, IgCP; and Christina Ritchey, MS, RD, LD, CNSC, FASPEN.
The Fellow Program, NHIA said, “aims to advance the home and alternate site infusion profession by recognizing the contributions and achievements of highly accomplished individuals. NHIA Fellow status is awarded to members who have successfully demonstrated a commitment to the field for at least seven years, have a record of sustained involvement and leadership within NHIA, and have been actively involved in educating practitioners and others.”
In the announcement, Connie Sullivan, NHIA’s President/CEO, said, “Congratulations to this year’s fellows. Now in its fourth year, this program recognizes the most highly accomplished professionals in home infusion today. This year’s honorees are exemplary of skilled and thoughtful leaders who are committed to the patients and organizations they serve, as well as the industry overall through their support of NHIA.”
