MLN Connects Publishes Compliance Advice for Tracheostomy Supplies

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has published an MLN Connects article on reimbursement for tracheostomy supplies. The article includes compliance information on denial reasons and how to avoid them; refill requirements; documentation requirements; and resources.

The MLN Connects article noted an improper tracheostomy supplies payment rate of 58.1% for 2022, with “a projected improper payment amount of $17.7 million.”


CGS Administrators to Host October Mega Workshop in Milwaukee

CGS Administrators, the jurisdiction B and C DME MAC, is hosting a full-day Medicare workshop on Oct. 15 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Milwaukee.

The eight-hour workshop will include two tracks: DME documentation or orthotics and prosthetics documentation. For the afternoon session, attendees can choose from nine breakout classes including orthotics, claims submissions, and oxygen.
