FAHCS Schedules 2025 Legislative Conference for January

The Florida Alliance of Home Care Services (FAHCS) has scheduled its 2025 legislative conference for Jan. 28-29, 2025.

“There will be meetings with champions, key legislators and department heads that will carry our agenda forward, so please mark your calendars now to attend this day-and-a-half conference,” the FAHCS said in its late-summer announcement.

The conference will take place at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Tallahassee, Florida. Watch the FAHCS website for the upcoming start of registration.

CMS Provides Flexibilities in Response to Hurricane Francine

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced “resources and flexibilities” in Louisiana in response to Hurricane Francine.

U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra announced a public health emergency for Louisiana on Sept. 12, retroactive to Sept. 10. CMS is allowing Medicare beneficiaries whose durable medical equipment was lost or damaged due to the hurricane to receive replacements.

Check the CMS resources page for additional information.
