NCART Meets with Stakeholders on Repair Reform

NCART and Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) stakeholders recently met in Washington, D.C., to discuss ways to improve current repair processes.

Alexis Ward, Senior Director of Payer Relations for the American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare), said in a news announcement, “The meeting was a good kick-off to what will be lots of activity focused on repairs over the next few months. AAHomecare is honored to be part of the repair reform efforts.”

NCPA Names Its Independent Pharmacist of the Year

The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) has announced that Theresa Tolle, BSPharm, FAPhA, is its 2023 NCPA Willard B. Simmons Independent Pharmacist of the Year award winner.

Tolle, the owner of Bay Street Pharmacy in Sebastian, Fla., was honored during the NCPA’s annual Convention in Orlando, according to an Oct. 16 announcement.

The annual award “is given to a pharmacist who exhibits exemplary professional leadership, service to community, and commitment to independent pharmacy,” the NCPA said. For the 15th year, Upsher-Smith sponsored the award in partnership with the NCPA.
