Invacare Introduces New CFO/Senior VP

Invacare Corp. has promoted a current team member to the new role of CFO/Senior VP.

In a June 26 news announcement, Invacare said Kai Zhu will transition to the new role effective July 1. Zhu is currently Invacare’s VP Finance EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa).

Zhu replaces Kathleen P. Leneghan, the company’s long-time Senior VP and CFO, who is retiring. Leneghan will remain with Invacare until Oct. 1 to assist with the transition.

Geoffrey P. Purtill, Invacare’s President/CEO, said in the announcement, “On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to welcome Kai as our next Chief Financial Officer. Kai brings deep experience and financial acumen to the global leadership team and is well suited to lead our financial organization as Invacare enters its next phase of growth and development. I want to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Kathy for her over 30 years of service to Invacare and her dedication and resilience in leading our organization through a critical phase of our evolution. We wish Kathy well in her retirement.”

Zhu joined Invacare in April 2022 and “has over two decades of financial leadership experience,” Invacare said.
