Pomp & Circumstance: Medline Named to “Best Employers for New Grads” List

In this commencement season, Medline has been named to Forbes’s list of Best Employers for New Grads.

In a June 14 announcement, Medline said it ranked “among the top third of more than 300 U.S. companies that young professionals say ‘offer superior workplace opportunities’ and ‘align with their values.’”

Results were tallied from surveys taken by 28,000 young professionals who work in the United States for businesses with 1,000 or more employees. Participants rated their employers on such topics as reputation; salary and benefits; education and career advancement opportunities; working hours and company atmosphere; work quality; diversity, equity and inclusion; whether or not good work was recognized; and whether they would recommend their employers to friends and family members.

Survey participants also provided feedback on other employers in their industries.

Karen Ferraro, Medline’s Chief Human Resources Officer, said in the announcement, “We are honored to be recognized as one of the best employers for recent grads. It’s a great place for new grads to have a lot of responsibility and make an impact right away. We also work every day to create a work environment that allows employees to bring their authentic selves to work.”

The announcement said Medline recruits at “top universities throughout the U.S., and offers early career leadership programs in finance, operations management, engineering, product management (marketing, sourcing and sales), and supply chain.” A regional rotational assignment program gives new graduates the chance to work in different areas of the company.
