Medical Service Company Acquires OhioHealth Home Medical

Medical Service Company (MSC) has acquired OhioHealth Home Medical Equipment, located in central Ohio.

In an April 5 news release, The Braff Group said it “originated the transaction and served as the exclusive mergers and acquisitions advisor to OhioHealth Home Medical Equipment.”

MSC said in the announcement, “Through its three community locations and several in-hospital offices and liaisons, OhioHealth HME supports lightning-fast discharges for the OhioHealth hospital network. MSC has also entered a long-term partnership with the OhioHealth health system, which comprises a family of 35,000 associates, physicians and volunteers, and a network of 14 hospitals, 200-plus ambulatory sites and hospice, home health and other facilities spanning 47 counties in the state.”

MSC currently has 650 employees and 45 locations supporting DME-related discharge planning services for 44 partnering hospitals involving more than 160,000 patients each year.
