Cardinal Health to Announce Financial Results

Cardinal Health will release third-quarter financial results for its 2023 fiscal year on May 4, before the opening of trading on the New York Stock Exchange, the company announced on March 30. Following the announcement, Cardinal Health will host a Webcast discussion about the results starting at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Study: Aging Population Will Require More Nursing Homes

SeniorLiving.org, a directory of senior living options, says the United States will need more than 3,000 additional nursing homes as its aging population continues to grow. By analyzing data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the Centers for Disease Control, and Kaiser Family Foundation, SeniorLiving.org said Arizona’s population of seniors could rise 41 percent by 2030, with Florida’s aging population rising up to 39 percent. While states known for warmer weather could see the greatest numbers of seniors, SeniorLiving.org expects every state will see an increase in residents 65+. The only region expecting a decrease in seniors: Washington, D.C.


CGS to Host Workshop in Texas

CGS is holding a Mega Workshop in Plano, Texas, on April 12. A March 30 bulletin said the Workshop “allows you to choose courses based on your lines of business. We offer various sessions, including glucose monitors, continuous glucose monitors, oxygen updates, surgical dressing, orthoses, prostheses, and therapeutic shoes for persons with diabetes.”

Business management and operations courses include Successful Claim Submission; Live Presentation of Self-Service Tools; Auditing Entities; and Advance Beneficiary Notices & Upgrades, as well as general sessions on standard documentation requirements and Medicare updates.
