AAHomecare Unveils ‘The Value of HME’

Created by the association’s Payer Relations Council, the new brochure aims to help providers show payers how they deliver value to patients while reducing costs.

The Payer Relations Council of the American Association for Homecare has released a new Value of HME Brochure, which aims to help providers show payers the benefits of home medical equipment and its importance within the healthcare continuum. 

This online brochure is part of an effort by the Payer Relations Council to create messaging tools and other resources that help providers productively engage with payers, Medicaid programs, and state legislators.

The brochure is a collection of various media and message points that explains what a partnership with HME providers can do for payers. The brochure includes multiple embedded videos, statistics, and infographics that show:

  • The value of an established HME partnership
  • How that partnership reduces costs
  • How it improves patient outcomes
  • How it enhances patient satisfaction
  • The growing need for HME

“Now is the time to reach out to payers you have individually negotiated contracts with,” a statement from AAHomecare read. “Help them understand the value you bring to the community and to their customers with this brochure.”
