Medtrade East, which runs Oct. 24-26 at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center, is fast approaching, and with it, some new features and some familiar favorites.
First off, the show will now be in Hall A, which is closer and more conveniently located. And the exhibit hall, which is larger than 2021’s, will be packed with 198 exhibitors showcasing HME products and services on the show floor.
“This is going to be quite a difference than what people are accustomed to,” says Medtrade Show Director York Schwab. “We’re going to save you some steps this year.”
Additionally, there are a lot of new companies at the show, and the New Product Pavilion is one of the biggest the show has had, according to Schwab. Also, Medtrade will host an Opening Night Reception with free drinks and snacks from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the show floor on Oct. 25. That will be followed by AAHomecare’s Stand Up for Homecare reception from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Another change is that the AAHomecare Update will now happen at 10 a.m. on Oct. 25, rather than 8 a.m., and refreshments such as water and coffee will be served.
Also, the Ask the Experts, which runs from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 24, is now open to anyone with a conference badge can attend, which marks a major change from an event that used to require an extra fee.
“It’s no longer a ‘ticketed’ event,” Schwab says. “If you have a conference pass, you are welcome to ask the experts and listen to people who are the subject matter experts of the industry and get some valuable one-on-one time that frankly can be hard to come by.”

This year marks the final Medtrade East, with Medtrade converting to a single show on March 28-30, 2023, in Dallas at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
