VGM Surveying Providers on Delivery Costs

Providers have until Feb. 28 to reply to a short survey updating its 2021 survey on providing various types of HME before and during the public health emergency.

VGM Government Relations is encouraging HME providers to take a short survey to help assess how the Covid-19 public health emergency (PHE) has impacted HME provider costs.

The 11-question survey is a follow-up to VGM’s 2021 Home Medical Equipment Delivery Cost Report, which showed the real cost of providing oxygen, hospital beds, mobility equipment, and other items to patients’ homes before and during the PHE.

VGM shared the results with elected officials and other industry stakeholders to demonstrate the increasing financial pressures on HME companies due to continuing pandemic. VGM reported that the same officials asked it to follow up with additional questions related to PHE-related burdens.

“The questions are limited and should take only a few minutes to complete,” VGM noted in a public statement. “Your input is critical to these officials and decision-makers.”
