Katie Stevens Named 2021 HME Woman of the Year
CEO of Reliable Medical Supply is recognized for exemplary services and for setting high care and organizational standards.
In a special online ceremony held Dec. 16, VGM & Associates named Katie Stevens, CEO of Reliable Medical Supply (Minneapolis), the sixth annual HME Woman of the Year.
The awards program recognizes a woman in the HME industry who has made significant contributions throughout her career to her company, community, and the HME industry.
A committee of judges in various industry roles selected Stevens for her expertise in business development and healthcare operations throughout her 15-year HME career.
“I’m absolutely honored,” Stevens said after being announced as the 2021 HME Woman of the Year. “This is an incredible group, and it’s an absolute honor to be recognized for dedication to the industry and the people that I am passionate about.”
Starting as a customer service representative for a complex rehab company in 2006, Stevens held positions across various functions within the industry before assuming her current role of CEO at Reliable Medical Supply in January 2020.
Under her leadership, Reliable Medical has seen significant growth and high employee retention, and was named one of the top workplaces in Minneapolis. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Redlands and a Master of Science degree in marketing from the University of Nottingham in the U.K.

This year’s awards program saw 64 nominations, with four finalists eventually selected. The other three nominees were:

- Neidi Mack, vice president for ancillary services at Prism Health Care Services/The Alden Network
- Victoria Peterson, administrator at RespMed
