Medline to Purchase Hudson RCI Respiratory Products

Acquisition of a significant portion of the Hudson RCI line of respiratory products from Teleflex will not only broaden Medline’s product portfolio but expand its manufacturing capabilities.

Medical equipment manufacturer and distributor Medline will acquire a significant portion of the Hudson RCI brand of respiratory products from medical device company Teleflex.

The acquisition will add the brand’s range of respiratory solutions for oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, pulmonary hygiene, and active humidification products to Medline’s respiratory portfolio/

The deal will also bring two manufacturing facilities into its portfolio of more than 20 existing North American plants. The two facilities are a respiratory sterile water products manufacturing plant in Arlington Heights, Ill., and a manufacturing facility producing a variety of respiratory consumables in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.

A portion of Hudson RCI staff will also convey in the purchase. With the commercial and sales employees in the Hudson RCI business, almost 1,000 employees will join Medline when the transition is complete.
