CMS’s Round 2021 Announcement: It’s a Win

After weeks of radio silence, CMS finally announced Round 2021 and its proposed rule concerning rural providers. The announcement was shocking: CMS was only bidding two categories — both over-the-shelf braces — and punting on the 13 remaining categories. That news left the industry wondering what this meant for pricing and the possibility of futures rounds.
