HHS to Open Aid Reporting Portal
Providers that received more than $10,000 from the Provider Relief Fund will have to report to the agency via a portal by Feb. 15.

Providers that received more than $10,000 or more through the Provider Relief Fund must report expense information via a soon-to-be-released online portal by Feb. 15, 2021, according to the American Association for Homecare.
While not originally covered in the Fund’s terms and conditions, an Aug. 14 notice of reporting requirements outlined the new requirement. HHS also posted a Reporting Guidelines Summary.
HHS is slated to open starting Oct. 1, 2020. Providers are required to complete their reports by Feb. 15, 2021, and HHS posted expanded General and Targeted Distribution Post-Payment Notice of Reporting Requirements guidance that specifies what data providers must report.
Providers that received payments from the fund that totaled more than $10,000 must submit:
- Demographic Information (ex/ TIN, NPI, etc.)
- Expenses Attributable to COVID-19 -- includes a) General & Administrative (G&A) Expenses; ex. mortgage, rent, insurance, etc., and b) Other Healthcare Related Expenses; supplies, equipment, IT, etc.
- Lost Revenue Due to COVID-19
- Additional Non-Financial Data (ex. facility, staffing, etc.)
Providers that received $500,000 or more must report additional detail on G&A and other healthcare expenses.
Providers that received $750,000 or more will be subject to a Single Audit requirement, according to updated guidance from HHS.
The reporting requirements do not apply to payments from the Uninsured Program, according to the updated guidance, but HHS could announce reporting requirements for the program in the future, AAHomecare pointed out.
