Medtrade West Opens Call for Presentations

Presenters have until Sept. 18 to submit presentations for the event, which is slated for April 12-14, 2021 in Phoenix, Ariz.

Medtrade West, the new incarnation of Medtrade Spring, has now opened its call for presentations, with a submission deadline of Sept. 18.

Slated for April 12-14, 2021 in Phoenix, Ariz., Medtrade West aims to revise the annual event by focusing on the western portion of the industry. Also, the event aims to deliver more time to conference sessions while ensuring that 75 percent of the expo time doesn’t overlap with the educational portion of the event, giving attendees more time to take in the entire event.

“Perhaps Phoenix can double as a metaphor for renewal,” says Mark Lind, show director for Medtrade. “The event is eight months away, and we believe face-to-face trade shows have more value than ever. Will things be ‘back to normal?’ Probably not, but we believe we can convene a safe, productive, and successful show. That all starts with presenters who want to share their expertise.”

For Medtrade West 2021’s Call For Presentations, Medtrade officials are looking for:

  • speakers who can share their successes and struggles
  • experts with knowledge to impart
  • dynamic providers with something to share

The deadline for submissions is Sept. 18 and sessions are either 1 hour or 1.5 hours in length with time for Q&A.

Prospective speakers should submit their presentations under one of the following tracks:

  • Business Operations
  • Executive Leadership & Planning
  • Legal
  • Medicare Updates (submit only if you are CMS or Medicare Contractor)
  • Retail
  • Sales & Marketing

Medtrade advises speakers’ sessions should be formatted as free-flowing and interactive. Although the event will include standard, “standing behind a lectern” classroom-type presentations, it aims to have a good portion of next year’s sessions in a town hall/panel format, and town hall/panel presentations with two or more discussion leaders will take precedence over single speaker sessions.
