Providers Prep for Round 2021 Bidding Summit

Attendees to June 5 Competitive Bidding Summit to learn more about Round 2021 and how to bid under lead item pricing.

Providers will soon pack their bags and head to the Bid Smart 2019 Summit in Nashville, Tenn. on June 5 to learn the ins and outs of bidding under Round 2021.

Time is tight for providers to learn more. Per the Round 2021 timeline, registration for Round 2021 begins June 10 and the Bid window opens July 16.

As reported earlier, the educational coalition behind the dmecbpeducation.com website is hosting the Bid Smart 2019 Summit to help providers get a solid grasp of lead item pricing; bid surety bond; and the use of single payment amounts to set rates in non-competitive bidding areas.

The event will also show attendees how to use the lead item pricing calculator and other tools available at dmecbpeducation.com, which is a joint effort from AAHomcare, the VGM Group, and the Council for Quality Respiratory Care (CQRC).

Speakers will include:

  • Cara Bachenheimer, head of the government affairs practice at industry law firm Brown & Fortunato, and general counsel of the American Association for Homecare.
  • Kim Brummett, vice president of regulatory affairs for AAHomecare.
  • Mark J. Higley, vice president of regulatory affairs for VGM Group Inc.

The June 5 event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central Time, and will be held at One Century Place Conference Center, which is located at 26 Century Blvd, in Nashville, zip code 37214. For any last minute travelers, registration costs $99 and attendees can register here.
