VGM Opens Heartland Conference to Non-Members

For the first time ever, VGM’s June 10-12 event is open to all providers; kicks off with special four-hour session on Round 2021.

The VGM Group has announced that for the first time in the 18-year history of its Heartland Conference, it will allow non-members to attend the annual conference and expo, which runs June 10-12 at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center in Waterloo, Iowa.

The massive changes being ushered in by Round 2021 prompted the group to open the event to all HME providers, according to a VGM statement.

“VGM believes in supporting the dedicated stakeholders serving the HME industry,” said Clint Geffert, president of VGM & Associates. “Due to the changes in competitive bidding, VGM will carry the torch to support all HME providers whether they’re part of our membership community or not, because it’s best for patients, providers and the industry as a whole.”

As part of the registration requirements, non-member attendees will need to attend the pre-conference session, Interpreting & Preparing for Competitive Bidding Round 2021, which runs 8 a.m. to noon on June 10. Mark Higley, VGM vice president of Regulatory Affairs, along with other VGM and industry experts will present the session.

“Mark and a team of experts will walk attendees through important changes such as lead item pricing, clearing price, bid bonds, and much more, as well as discuss how it may impact the industry now and in the future,” Geffert explained. “They will also walk through use of a bid calculator specifically designed for Round 2021 bidding and address questions to make sure session attendees are ready for the new bidding program.”

Registration for non-members is $599 and includes education sessions, meals, networking events and local transportation. For more information or to register for Heartland Conference, visit www.vgmheartland.com/CBEDU.
