AAHomecare to Recognize Stockert with Mal Mixon Legislative Advocate Award
Association notes Barb Stockert’s long-running work on behalf of providers at the national and state level, with involvement not just with AAHomecare, but statement associations, as well.

Barb Stockert, government relations Sanford HealthCare Accessories (Fargo, N.D.), will receive the 2019 American Association for Homecare’s Mal Mixon Legislative Advocate Award at AAHomecare’s upcoming Washington Legislative Conference, which is slated for May 22 and 23.
Stockert an active, long-standing member of AAHomecare’s State Leaders and HME/RT Councils, and has been deeply involved with grassroots efforts to drive legislative support across the western states, according to AAHomecare. She has also assisted the Grassroots Accountability Project, volunteering to serve as a contact for over 20 congressional offices.
“Through these positions she has played a major role in securing support for industry priorities,” an AAHomecare statement read.
Also involved with MAMES, NRRTS, Big Sky AMES and PAMES, Stockert is serving as the North Dakota co-state chairperson for MAMES and has been on its Board of Directors since 2004.
“Through coordination of state meetings and hosting congressional representatives, working with the Sanford HealthCare colleagues to recognize Senators Thune and Heitkamp with legislative Champion awards, and serving on the regulatory and legislative committees for MAMES, she has made a recognizable difference for the HME community,” AAHomecare’s statement added.
Stockert is also the Administrator for the Region D DAC, which lets her communicate on behalf of providers with Noridian Administrative Services and the Jurisdiction D DME MAC.
"Barb is always there for us. She never quits," said Mike Calcaterra, Northern Zone vice president of NORCO Inc. "She has been a big part in keeping Big Sky AMES going. Barb is a tireless advocate for our industry."
