“The invitation to serve on the Commission was incredibly humbling,” Zacharias said. “I am honored to contribute my perspective from the intersection of credentialing and association management.”

Zacharias earned her CAE credential in 2008. In her new role as a Commissioner on the Commission, she will serve on the Competency Based Task Force, a committee that focuses on shifting the CAE credential to a competency-based format.

“We are excited to have Claudia join us as a member of the overseeing Commission for the Certified Association Executive credential,” said CAE Commission Chair Lowell Aplebaum, CAE, CPF. “Her leadership and background in credentialing and certification will provide an essential perspective as we continue to build the future of the association industry's credential.”
