Registration is now open for the 2019 edition of the American Association for Homecare’s Washington Legislative Conference, an annual opportunity for providers to meet with lawmakers and legislative staff, many of whom are new to Capitol Hill.
“With midterm elections complete, many states have new legislators who may not be familiar with the issues affecting the HME industry,” a statement from AAHomecare read. “… there are many pressing issues that we’ll be taking to Capitol Hill this year, and your face-to-face meetings with members of Congress and their staff will play a critical role in advancing our public policy priorities.”
Slated for May 22 and 23, this year’s event will be held at the Doubletree by Hilton Crystal City. Registration for the conference costs $49 for AAHomecare members and $99 for non-members. Providers wishing to register can do so by filling out and returning a downloadable PDF form at http://bit.ly/2RScA8f.
For hotel reservations, Doubletree by Hilton Crystal City is offering an early bird discount of $239 a night for a single room until April 29. To reserve a room, attendees should call the hotel at (800) 222-8733 and reference the American Association for Homecare.
Companies and organizations interested in sponsoring the event should contact Sue Mairena at suem@aahomecare.org for details.
