HME software company Brightree has acquired mobile delivery and field marketing provider Apacheta Corp., further expanding the SaaS portfolio of Brightree’s owner, ResMed. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
In mid-2015, Apacheta and Brightree unveiled an integrated mobile delivery management solution for providers using their technology along with consumer-grade smartphones and tablets, to help HME providers quickly get up and running without high starting costs. A secure mobile delivery module for ordering and tracking medical equipment was the number-one feature request HMEs had in a recent customer satisfaction survey, according to Brightree.
“Apacheta solves many of the business challenges HMEs face in managing deliveries, particularly eliminating missing, lost or incomplete delivery information,” said Brightree CEO Matt Mellott. “It has already helped Brightree customers save significant time and money, and we look forward to investing in its continued innovation and scalability.”
“We’re thrilled to become part of a healthcare leader that shares our mission: leveraging technology to digitally transform field service management and delivery functions providing quantifiable business efficiencies, better customer care, and improved visibility to logistics practices,” said Apacheta CEO Gregg Timmons. “The HME business is becoming more and more challenging, and like Apacheta, Brightree offers software solutions that eliminate complexity in order to increase productivity.
The Apacheta acquisition markets Brightree’s third buy in 18 months. Previously it picked up forms and workflow management company Conduit Technology, and live call center service company AllCall Connect.
