New Edition of HME Sales Book Offers New Insights

‘25 Sales Tips You Can Learn From Your Mother’ now includes new lessons and features from sales coach Ty Bello.

Industry sales and management coach Ty Bello, RCC, the president and founder of Team@Work, has released a new edition of his HME sales guide “25 Sales Tips You Can Learn From Your Mother.”

First released in 2011, the book takes common lessons taught by mothers around the world and places them in the context of selling. The newly released second edition, available in paperback from Amazon at amzn.to/2xD7O1n, features expanded content, new chapters, and workbook pages, and contributions from Kristen Bissontz, vice president of business development at Team@Work.

“It’s crossed into many d sales venues, not just DME, but home health, hospice, home infusion, and others outside of the medical industry completely, and as I talked to people about it, I felt compelled to give them a little bit more,” Bello says. “So we tried to make this more of a workbook and journal.”

The book still contains the core 25 lessons, but those lessons have been expanded to include more explanation and narrative, and each chapter now has five additional elements to help sales professionals absorb the lessons and put them into practice:

  • A “mom’s recipe” that gives the “ingredients” to succeed with each tip.
  • Guidelines to put the recipe into practice.
  • A “time out” section that lets readers think about how they are going work on each tip.
  • A goal-setting section.
  • A scheduling tool that helps HME sales professionals track milestones as they work toward their goals.

Also, 10 “coach’s tips” follow the 25 main chapters that address 10 challenges sales professionals commonly face.

“It’s been reviewed by several people, and it was designed to be used and they’re using it,” Bello notes. “We’re very excited about that.”
