VirtuOx Acquires Instant Diagnostic Systems

Healthcare IT company picks up diagnostic facility with home testing capabilities.

Healthcare IT company VirtuO, Inc. (Coral Springs, Fla.) has acquired Instant Diagnostic Systems (IDS), a facility that specializes in home-based diagnostic testing.

VirtuOX provides diagnostic tools and services to organizations and professionals who diagnose and treat respiratory diseases. IDS is a state-licensed, Medicare-participating provider that performs homes testing for oxygen qualification as well as home sleep testing and dental application qualification.

“This is an ideal acquisition for us,” said Steven F. Lica, chief executive officer of VirtuOx. “Not only do we increase our POX testing and HST testing platform, but we have also gained a valuable and experienced team with IDS a pioneer in our space,” he added.

The acquisition was facilitated by healthcare M+A advisory firm VERTESS.
