The American Association for Homecare’s Washington Legislative Conference, a key opportunity for providers to meet with lawmakers and their legislative staff on Capitol Hill, is quickly approaching.
Slated for May 23 and 24, this year’s event will be held at the Sheraton Pentagon City in Arlington, Va. Registration for the conference costs $49 for AAHomecare members and $99 for non-members. Providers wishing to register can do so by filling out and returning a downloadable PDF form at http://bit.ly/2Fd6rwt.
For hotel reservations, providers should contact the Sheraton Pentagon City, where the event is being held. Attendees can register online at http://bit.ly/2CSK0au, or by calling (800) 325-3535.
A statement from AAHomecare underscored the need for providers to participate.
“Directly engaging Members of Congress and their staff is the most effective way to build relationships and secure their active support for HME public policy priorities,” the statement read. “This is the best opportunity to advocate relief for rural/non-bid suppliers and enlist Congressional support for important reforms for the next round of the bidding program. With hundreds from the HME community joining together to speak with one voice, we can make an impact on Capitol Hill. If you want to become more involved advocating for better public policy and sustainable reimbursement rates for HME, the Legislative Conference is the place to start!
