The American Association for Homecare has extended the period to enter data for the Second Quarter Audit Key survey due to receiving several requests from providers asking for more time.
“We appreciate the support that the HME supplier community has shown for the HME Audit Key in its initial stages of development and deployment,” a statement from AAHomcare read. “Additional participation will allow us to better demonstrate the effects of overly burdensome HME audits to regulatory agencies and Capitol Hill as we advocate for better audit policies.”
The association also emphasized that the survey doesn’t require individual claims data, but rather needs cumulative counts of pre- and post-payment audits and appeal claim outcomes under DME MAC, RAC and SMRC reviews. The data is only used in aggregate form, and a provider’s unique data will not be shared.
To register and submit information, visit HMEAuditKey.org. Additional information is available at http://bit.ly/1k18xAv.
Registration and participation in Audit Key are free and open to all suppliers, not just AAHomecare members. Also, providers that haven’t yet participated in Audit key, or that have skipped rounds can still submit data.
