AAHomecare Recognizes Kucka With Mal Mixon Award

Indiana provider honored for his advocacy efforts and lengthy service on the association’s board and councils.

George Kucka, president of Fairmeadows Home Health Center, recently received the American Association for Homecare’s Mal Mixon Legislative Advocate Award.

AAHomecare President and CEO recognized Kucka with the award at the opening luncheon on the association’s Washington Legislative Conference on May 24 at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, D.C. Ryan noted that Kucka was honored with the award for his passion and dedication to the industry.

In his remarks upon accepting the award, Kucka said, "I've always been a believer in advocacy,” a fact that was reinforced by his time spent serving AAHomecare’s board of directors and in leadership positions on many of the AAHomecare councils.

“George has significantly advanced the homecare community’s legislative goals and has also inspired and motivated others to join the fight for better federal policy for the home medical equipment sector,” a statement from AAHomcare read.
