National home medical equipment provider Rotech Healthcare Inc. (Rotech; Orlando, Fla) has purchased North Carolina provider Griffin Home Health Care Inc. (Charlotte, N.C.)
Griffin has operated in North Carolina since President and CEO Bill Griffin opened for business in 1983. The provider’s Charlotte, Concord and Gastonia, N.C. locations will be added to the 18 North Carolina markets Rotech currently serves.
“What a joy it has been to serve the patrons of the Metrolina Region for the past 34 years,” Griffin said. “We have truly been blessed and are grateful to clients, vendors, and most of all our wonderful associates who have served the community and taken care of our patients with grace. I am extremely grateful to the management of Rotech Healthcare and their commitment to continue the Griffin legacy.”
“Griffin Home Health Care has been a quality provider for years,” Rotech CEO Tim Pigg said. “They have a broad range of services and we are pleased to be able to bring them into the Rotech family of locations.”
Duckridge Advisors served as the mergers and acquisitions adviser to Griffin Home Health Care. The company noted in a public statement regarding the purchase that continued Medicare reimbursement cuts were leading increasing numbers of providers to exist the HME business.
