CMS has modified the CMS-855S enrollment application, as well the DMEPOS fee schedule, according to a new Medicare Learning Network Provider eNews update.
By Jan. 1, 2017, DMEPOS suppliers must use CMS’s revised Medicare enrollment application (CMS-855S). The revised application will be posted on the CMS Forms List by mid-fall, according to CMS. The National Supplier Clearinghouse Medicare Administrative Contractors will accept both the current and revised versions of the CMS-855S through Dec, 31. Providers needing more information should visit the Medicare Provider-Supplier Enrollment webpage.
Also, CMS released the July 2016 Medicare DMEPOS fee schedule amounts. CMS identified errors in the fee schedule amounts for some items and revised the fee schedule accordingly. A list of corrected codes is available as an Excel file or PDF document. For more information, providers can visit the DME Center Page for more information.
