VGM’s Retail Roadshow Will Wrap at Medtrade

One-day, interactive educational series still has stops in Louisville and Dallas before wrapping up at annual industry event.

The VGM Group’s 2016 Retail Science Roadshow has three more stops this year, in Louisville, Ky. on July 19; Dallas, Texas on Sept. 13; and wrapping up in Atlanta at Medtrade Fall on Oct. 31.

Led by Jim Greatorex and Maria Markusen, the one-day educational events from VGM Retail provide practical tips, techniques, and strategies for providers with retail business. Additionally, the events let providers learn from vendors about new retail products that can help boost their retail businesses.

“We get in-depth,” Markusen said. “We don’t just talk about the high-level surface stuff. We talk about the numbers, so when people go home they can use the information to improve their business and make changes.”

“Education and what we call ‘core competencies’ of running a retail store will be mixed in with manufacturer education about how to measure metrics and do sales training,” Greatorex added. “We will show attendees product opportunities that we believe are great cash opportunities — with new and exciting vendors. We provide education about how to merchandise and market new products, all of which are designed to help providers grow and bring in new customers.”
