The first-ever Assistive Technology Conference, a joint production of the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America, the National Coalition for Assistive & Rehab Technology, and the National Registry of Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers, has been slated for July 12-14 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia.
The show marks the charter collaboration between RESNA, NCART, and NRRTS to combine two long-standing conferences into one comprehensive program. The theme for the 2016 conference is "Promoting Access to Assistive Technology".
“We are very excited about the benefits of combining both conferences …,” said Don Clayback, executive director of NCART. “With all the challenges facing access to CRT, having this conference in Washington, D.C. and enabling more attendees to interact with Congress is critical.”
The three day program will provide a the opportunity to not only attend the CRT focused sessions from the established National CRT Conference, but also attend Seating and Mobility courses, view new technology in the Exhibit Hall, and spend a day on Capitol Hill with NCART’s Consumer Advocates taking the message to Congress.
Presentations include: Advancing Policies that Improve Access to Assistive Technology; CRT Industry Leaders Panel; Medicaid CRT Issues and Solutions; CRT Legislative and Regulatory Update; and Mobility with ALS- From Simple to Complex.
Interested providers can find information on the conference schedule, registration, and other important details at http://www.ncart.us/crtconference.
