Mobile medical logistics company Apacheta and HME software firm Brightree have unveiled an integrated mobile delivery management solution for providers.
Apacheta’s mobile, cloud-based delivery management solution integrates with Brightree to help HME businesses decrease costs; reduce paper; optimize productivity; track deliveries and assets; accelerate time to revenue for medical claims; and improve patient outcomes. The solution supports consumer-grade smartphones and tablets, which means HME providers can quickly get up and running without high upfront costs.
“Creating point of delivery efficiencies addresses one of the largest cost components of patient care for HME providers,” said Steve Rogers, vice president product management at Brightree. “As reduced reimbursement rates continue to put pressure on providers, this integrated solution reduces costs by removing manual processes, eliminating duplicate data entry and automatically processing documents through a paperless workflow.”
For planning, the Brightree-Apacheta solution gives HME providers a tablet-based mobile application to handle load management, barcode scanning, electronic forms to ensure compliance, dynamic trip management and electronic proof-of-delivery with signature capture. The tool lets providers plan, schedule, dispatch and monitor field force activity, including real-time delivery mapping and tracking of key metrics such as exceptions, stops made and time spent per stop.
One HME provider that has implemented the solution for its mobile workforce is QMES
“The Apacheta and Brightree mobile delivery management solution addresses our need to eliminate paper and optimize our logistics operations with an intuitive solution,” says Ben Gissinger regional vice president operations, QMES. “As a partner, Apacheta was extremely responsive to our needs and requirements. This mobile solution will help add more automation to our processes across the enterprise."
“Apacheta’s mobile delivery management solution has been welcomed by the HME/DME market, as providers are seeking a modern solution that utilizes tablets and smartphones to provide real-time delivery tracking, logistics management, and best practice mobile workflows,” stated James Wee, vice president of business development and sales for Apacheta.
