Three More Representatives Back MPP Bill

Post-Washington conference sign-ups keep coming; bring H.R. 1717’s co-sponsors to 178 lawmakers.

Three more congress members have joined the ranks of House members backing H.R. 1717, the law that would replace competitive bidding with the industry’s market pricing program (MPP).

This brings the total number of co-sponsors for the bill to 178. The new backers are:

Rep. Lois Frankel, (D-Fla.)
Rep. Bradley Byrne, (R-Ala.)
Rep. Thomas Petri (R-Wis.)

H.R. 1717 was introduced into the House by Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) in April 2013, and has seen encouraging recent activity in the wake of lobbying done on Capitol Hill as part of the American Association for Homecare’s recent Washington Legislative Conference.
