Mobility manufacturer Golden Technologies has hired Michael Scarsella as its Northeast Regional Sales Manager.
“We are very fortunate to have a sales professional like Mike on the Golden team,” Jason Davis, Vice President of Sales for Golden Technologies. “He comes to us with more than 14 years of experience in the retail furniture industry and truly understands the importance of retail to the future success of the DME industry.”
Scarsella holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategic Planning from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. He has served in a variety of sales positions in his career, including as an independent field sales representative; a territory manager; and as vice president of marketing and new product development.
A considerable portion of Scarsella’s career success was made at major furniture manufactuers, such as Harden Furniture, Henredon Furniture and Vaughan Furniture, where he developed expertise dealing with retail clients.
“During his tenure with these top notch organizations, Mike cultivated strong relationships with retailers and their buyers, significantly growing sales throughout his territory and guiding independent reps through turbulent times,” Davis said. “I believe this experience will transfer very well to our industry. I have seen first-hand traveling with Mike how his knowledge of retail sales best practices can help our customers grow their business outside of Medicare and Competitive Bidding.”
Scarsella’s territory covers the northeastern United States, including the entire New England area, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan.
Scarsella will be at Golden’s booth, no. 1212, at Medtrade Fall, which is slated for Oct. 8-10 at Orlando Fla.’s Orange County Convention Center.
