Third Generation Takes Helm of Ohio HME Provider

John P. Miller succeeds father as president of provider business.

Johnny P. Miller has become of President. Ohio HME provider Miller’s. As the third generation of the Miller family to run the HME business, he follows his father, John J. Miller, who served as President for 30 years, and his grandfather, John F. Miller, who founded Miller’s in 1949.

Johnny Miller has served in various capacities at Miller’s, most recently as Executive Vice President. He will oversee all company operations and lead Miller’s into the future of wheeled mobility and home medical equipment.

“I’m extremely proud of the organization built up over the past 64 years and I’m excited about our opportunities to grow in the years to come,” the youngest Miller said. “I’m honored to take over this leadership role and follow the outstanding example shown me by my father. Miller’s has an outstanding group of committed staff members united in our goal of Advancing Care, Enhancing Mobility for the clients we serve.”

His father, John J. Miller, will continue with the company in the role of Chief Executive Officer.

In terms of industry involvement, Johnny Miller is especially active in OAMES8 (Ohio Association of Medical Equipment Services) and currently serves as its President. He regularly visits Columbus and Washington, D.C. to work with policy makers and elected officials on issues and regulations related to Medicaid and Medicare coverage of home medical equipment.

The new Miller’s president is a graduate of Kent State University and is a graduate of Leadership Akron – Class 27. In other community service, he sits on the Boards of Directors of ACCESS Inc. and Keep Akron Beautiful. In 2012, he was recognized by the Greater Akron Chamber as one of the 30 For the Future5. He has also been an active member of Vistage Key Group 704 for the past eight years.

Johnny Miller has also been an active member of Three Trackers of Ohio7 since 2000, serving as a volunteer adaptive ski instructor, certified in teaching bi‐ski. He also currently serves as Treasurer of Three Trackers.
