The van Halem Group Hires Additional Medicare Clinician

Jane Naig, RN, CFE, AHFI, joins audit consulting firm as senior clinical consultant.

Audit and compliance consulting firm The van Halem Group has hired A. Naig, RN, CFE, AHFI, to serve as its senior clinical consultant. Naig is a registered nurse with 30 years’ healthcare industry experience in clinical settings and program integrity. 

“The current regulatory environment and strict oversight of the industry make the insight of both nurses and auditors critical to our clients,” said van Halem Group founder and President Wayne van Halem.  “Jane will bring both of these insights to help our clients navigate the often complicated regulatory path.”

Naig has professional nursing experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings and served in leadership roles including with the Department of Defense Dependents Overseas Schools (DODDS) in Frankfurt, Germany.

Naig’s expertise is in medical investigations, quality assurance, and clinical data analysis and during her time at Medicare, she has overseen audits of all types of healthcare providers including durable medical equipment suppliers, home health and hospice agencies, and physician practices. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner and an Accredited Healthcare Fraud Investigator.  She will serve as a Senior Clinical Consultant with The van Halem Group and clients will benefit from her in-depth knowledge of the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
