Tutela Monitoring Systems Appoints Sales VP

Wireless medical monitoring firm Tutela has increased its sales efforts with the appointment of a new vice president of National Sales for North America.

Filling the spot is Joe Joyce, who joins Tutela from Life Measurement Inc., which was acquired by Cosmed USA Inc in 2011. This followed a successful 11 year career in sales and was responsible for selling medical equipment to hospitals, universities, the military, and wellness organizations.

While at Life Measurement Inc., Joyce played a critical role as part of the executive management team that determined corporate strategy and was a central player in the successful sale of Life Measurement Inc. to Cosmed USA in 2011.

Under Joyce's tenure at Life Measurement/Cosmed USA, sales increased by more than 900 percent, according to a statement from Tutela. Prior to his career at Life Measurement Inc., Joyce worked in various sales roles for blue chips Johnson & Johnson, Mallinckrodt Medical and Comdisco.

“I believe this to be a further positive step in developing our business in North America,” says Tim Bartholomew, president of Tutela Monitoring Sytems LLC. “Tutela has supplied remote monitoring systems in the US for a while and Joe strengthens our already successful sales team.  Joe brings to Tutela Monitoring Systems over 20 years of high-achieving medical experience that will lead to increased sales through strategic focus and enhanced client relationships."
