New Editor Joins Respiratory & Sleep Management Magazine

Respiratory & Sleep Management welcomes Janis Samaripa Rizzuto as editor, effective immediately. Rizzuto is an award-winning magazine editor with 13 years of experience in the health care industry.

Rizzuto was most recently publisher/editor of Southern California Physician, a magazine for physician members of six Southern California county medical associations. From 1991-98, Rizzuto worked as editor-in-chief of HomeCare, which at the time was the leading magazine in the home medical equipment industry. At both health care publications, Rizzuto garnered awards for her work, including two Jesse H. Neal Awards and numerous Maggie Awards from the Western Publications Association. Across her career, Rizzuto has held editorial leadership positions at publications in other fields as well, including financial services, project management and retailing.

“I am pleased to be working in the home heath care field again,” Rizzuto says. “The opportunities and challenges ahead for HME providers specializing in respiratory and sleep therapies are many. I look forward to writing about the developments and creating an engaging magazine to support the providers’ efforts.”
