Advanced Home Care Signs Agreement with Authentidate

March 1, 2006 by HME Business

Authentidate Holding Corp. has announced an agreement with Advanced Home Care, a provider of full-service home health care companies, to rollout Authentidate’s CareFax application for use in its billing center.

CareFax is a Web-based, HIPAA-compliant, application that enables health care organizations to reduce costs and address compliance issues associated with fax-based document processing. CareFax automates the fax-intensive workflows between providers and insurers.

“Managing the document flow between suppliers and physicians has become unwieldy due to the fax-centric nature of our industry. Authentidate’s CareFax product &#133 places strong emphasis on features essential to health care compliance, such as error-free documentation and strict adherence to CMS policies and procedures,” said Joel Mills, chief executive officer of Advanced Home Care.

“This helps us improve cash flow and maintain a cost-effective, auditable reimbursement process that is especially important in dealing with Medicare. Also, CareFax integrates well with other existing digital technologies, which reduces our training and implementation costs.”
