Russell Schuster began his new position on Dec. 2.

December 13, 2024 by Laurie Watanabe

AdaptHealth Corp. (Nasdaq: AHCO) has announced a new chief commercial officer (COO).

In a Dec. 3 press release, the Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania-based provider of home-based health-care solutions said Russell Schuster had begun as the company’s COO on Dec. 2. Schuster “will oversee commercial strategy and revenue generation,” the announcement said.

Schuster is a home medical equipment industry veteran, having most recently served as the president of Cardinal Health Canada. “Over eight years at Cardinal Health, he held positions of increasing responsibility in corporate development, business development and strategy.”

Before Cardinal Health, Schuster worked in mergers and acquisition and investment banking roles at Lehman Brothers, Barclays Capital, and Republic Services. He began his career as a certified public accountant and consultant with Ernst & Young.

“We are thrilled to welcome Russ to the AdaptHealth team,” said Suzanne Foster, AdaptHealth’s CEO. “Russ’s experience leading large-scale growth initiatives fills an important need for the company. His appointment as chief commercial officer will be critical to the execution of our strategic plan and driving top line growth, while ensuring our commitment to exceptional patient care.”

AdaptHealth is a national provider of home-based equipment and services, including home medical equipment, medical supplies and related services. The company focuses on services and equipment for sleep therapy patients, patients with diabetes, patients needing oxygen and respiratory equipment, and patients using wound care, incontinence, urological or ostomy supplies.
